Welcome to the Neath CC Web Page. We have a variety of cricket to tempt you with this season, from our youth teams through to a new midweek Twenty Twenty competition. Cricket is losing its young players when it comes to stepping up to senior level. Sir Colin Cowdrey was not far from the mark when he thought young players were moving from the game because it was not being played in the right spirit.. This can lead to parents being reluctant to allow their offspring to take part. Neath CC totally support the South Wales Cricket Association in their attempts to stop unruly behavior, abuse of umpires and non sporting conduct. We have appointed a youth protection officer and are complying with the guidelines to give parents the confidence that their children are in "Safe hands" with Neath CC.
Like many of grounds in Glamorgan The Gnoll is the home to both Neath Rugby and Cricket Club. The name of the ground is likely to have been a derivation from the word 'knoll', meaning a small round hill, as the first building in the area was situated on the circular mound at the western end of the hill known as Cefn Morfydd to the north of the town MORE INFORMATION
